Dear Blake Street,

Dear Blake Street,

Your walls are bare and your floors are swept, you will have a new family in no time. But before I lock the door one last time I wanted to thank you for all you have given us.

You are so much more than an address, you were such a home. You fed our plants with sunlight and gave us room to stretch and you hosted so many Thanksgivings ;)

We spent hot days and rainy days and summer days and blizzard days and it meant the world to us to be able to walk up those steps and open the door to be home.

Home.

We're all on a new adventure now, Blake Street, but we won't soon forget you. Thank you for letting us call you home.
Bee Boo Bop.

Landed!

We've made it, and trying to read the web pages in spanish is hard! Might as well get used to it. This entry is going to be short, 12 minutes of battery life and a lot to do! It's Sunday and we've got a room for a month while we look for a place. We are meeting Adriana today and hope to be working this week. The weather is beautiful. Much more to come. Maybe tonight we can tell you about the trip, the crappy houston airport and our searches at DIA!!

Bon Voyage

We are on our way! We have sold all of our belongings, other than a few personal affects in storage at Dads. Everything we own now fits in two duffel bags and two laptop bags! Our flight has an overnight lay-over in Houston, putting us in PV bright and early Thursday morn.

We are going to camp on a remote beach for 3-4 days, then head into Puerto Vallarta, find an apartment and start working at a restaurant we have been communicating with. It's called Adriana's. A steak-house of sorts. www.adrianasplacepv.com

Got the tickets!

The Family Feud

Sunday morning we awoke with the feeling that we were about to walk into an ambush.

Mitch's birthday was on the 7th and the family was gathering for his birthday dinner/going away party. We new it would not be a pleasant day.
Well....all hell broke loose....Mom cried, we almost left, the sisters were angry, Dad pretended nothing was happening, and the children were quite confused.
It boiled down to much miss-communication, their fears and worries about our safety and happiness, and not understanding why we are so free.
After the blow-up, we all handled it in typical Collins fashion. We pretended that nothing happened, ate dinner, blew out the birthday candles and went on our ways....Reality TV at its finest.

All was resolved the next day, and we now have their love and support for our Vida Loca.
